Hi! Welcome to Digital Nomads- One Byte at a Time. Our names are Brett and Kirsty and we both work in the IT industry. We are in our 40’s and have decided to take a Gap Year in 2024. We have been saving very hard for retirement; however, recent events have made us realise that life really is too short. So instead of planning to retire early, we have decided to take a year off our everyday lives and work. We plan to do some travelling in our van and find some work that can be done remotely and doesn’t take up 40 hours a week. Before 2024 though we have a house to renovate!
