This weekend was all about relaxation. We’ve both been so busy working, renovating and studying that we needed a getaway from it all. We found this cute Airbnb in Moorina (west of Caboolture) that was out of the way but not too far so we could still explore the area. However upon arrival, those ideas went out the window and we immediately both decided- we weren’t leaving this place!

Our host, Brendon, greeted us with a bottle of bubbles instantly winning me over. We took our glasses as he showed us around this beautiful home. He had a welcome basket full of our favourite things- chocolate, more wine, fresh sourdough and salt and vinegar chips. The house was absolutely amazing and looked like it was out of a magazine but in a good way where it was so homely. The attention to detail was mind blowing and everything had been thought of.

We settled in and enjoyed a relaxing spa before a dinner of wine and cheese. Then we listened to some new and old songs on YouTube from DJ Brett, while sitting down and doing a puzzle.

We had a glorious sleep in and then breakfast with the local butcher birds. We then wandered around the property and found a beautiful little dam filled with pond Lilly’s. After that we did literally nothing. I put down my picnic blanket and read a book. That’s it for the rest of the day. I haven’t sat that still in years! It was glorious! We finished the night with another spa and a wine around the fire pit.

Another sleep in and another brekky with the birds followed by some more relaxing before a late check out. Lunch on the way home at The Little Lamb topped off an amazing weekend. Now home to pick up Cooper and try not to think about how much work and study we have on this week.

This was the perfect getaway and exactly what we needed to recharge.
