Think about what you have stored on your desktop, your laptop and your phone.

Important Files? Contacts you don’t want to lose? Precious Memories of your family?

We live in a digital age, and we take it for granted that everything is at our fingertips when we need it. Want to show your friends your holiday snaps or the bingo ladies your latest grandchild, just grab out your phone and you can bore them to death there and then. Just kidding, I’m sure the bingo ladies love looking at all the snaps. But what if something happened to your phone or computer? What then? Do you have a reliable backup plan?

There are so many ways that we can lose data:

  • Hardware failure
  • Fire/Flood
  • Items stolen or lost
  • Being hacked
  • Viruses/Malware
  • The list goes on….

It’s your data and it’s your responsibility to back it up. Many people I talk to say either “I will one day, I just haven’t gotten around to it” or “it’s just so complicated”. Well, maybe today is the day you will get around to it and it doesn’t have to be complicated. There are so many options available to you. To ensure that these blogs are not bloated with too much information or are too long and you lose interest, I have been advised by a very wise ass man, to keep them shorter. Therefore, I’ll explain the different ways you might like to back up your data in different blogs. Links are below and will be released in the coming weeks. Generally, there are 2 main ways of backing up your data, to the Cloud or to a Storage Device. Read both of these articles and go with the one that suits you best. I don’t mind which one you choose. Just choose one!
